Day 1 – The silence of the forest at Hotel Ullinge<\/summary>\n

After your trip to Sm\u00e5land, the tranquillity of the forest awaits. Here at Hotel Ullinge you stay next to the lake, with the opportunity for a cooling dip and relaxation in the sauna. In the evening, a good dinner is served in the restaurant, where you can plan tomorrow’s cycling adventure towards Mariannelund.If you have rented bikes via Swike, they are ready on arrival – adjusted and ready to start. <\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n

Day 2 – Through wooden towns and fairytale landscapes<\/summary>\n

The adventure begins! You pedal out of Ullinge and follow quiet back roads towards the charming wooden town of Eksj\u00f6, perfect for a coffee or a walk among the preserved 17th century houses.After Eksj\u00f6, you follow the Astrid Lindgren trail, which winds through the Sm\u00e5land landscape. Today’s destination is Mariannelund, where you check in at Pensionat Solh\u00f6jden. Your luggage is already waiting, and the evening ends with dinner in the guesthouse dining room. Distance: 63 km<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n

Day 3 – In the footsteps of the movie<\/summary>\n

In Mariannelund you can visit Filmbyn Sm\u00e5land<\/a>, where Astrid Lindgren’s films are brought to life. If you want to immerse yourself further, you can book a guided bike tour with Cykla i Filmlandskapet<\/a> – an Experience where you visit filming locations from the film adaptations of Astrid Lindgren’s story.If you would rather discover the area on your own, there is a nice tour to follow. Once in Vimmerby, you check in at the charming Karakt\u00e4rshotellet where you can land and enjoy the evening in peace and quiet.You will stay here for two nights, so unpack and make yourself at home.Distance: 30 km (+ 5 km for guided tour)<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n

Day 4 – A day in Astrid’s world<\/summary>\n

Today you can choose between cycling and culture, or both.Visit Astrid Lindgren’s N\u00e4s<\/a> – the place where it all began, or experience Astrid Lindgren’s World<\/a> where the stories come to life.For those who want to cycle more, there is a longer tour to Katthult, Bullerbyn and L\u00f6nneberga, classic places from Astrid’s fairy tale world.<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n

Day 5 – Towards the silence of the forest<\/summary>\n

After a quiet morning in Vimmerby, you continue south through the rolling landscape of Sm\u00e5land. You leave the Astrid Lindgren Trail and follow winding roads between stone farmsteads, lakes and pastures.Feel free to pack swimwear, there are several nice opportunities for a swim along the way.Arriving at Trakt Forest hotel, you are greeted by a carefully designed environment where modern architecture meets Sm\u00e5land tranquility. The farm hotel is newly built and created with natural materials and clean lines that reinforce the proximity to the surroundings. The evening is rounded off with dinner in Trakt’s restaurant, where the focus is on flavors from the forest and land. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 6 – A day in the farm environment<\/summary>\n

This day is at your own pace. After a rich breakfast, you can go on a short bike ride, go for a quiet walk in the forests around the hotel or just enjoy the harmonious farm environment.There is also the opportunity to buy activities if you want to fill the day with something extra, or you can simply choose to sit back and enjoy the tranquility of the place.In the evening, another dinner is served, inspired by seasonal local produce. You prepare for the last cycling stage of the trip.The luggage is picked up in the morning, you cycle easily back to Ullinge. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 7 – Back through the landscape of stories<\/summary>\n

The last day of cycling offers another dose of Sm\u00e5land nature: forest, open meadows and lakes. The tour goes via Vetlanda and small roads towards Bj\u00f6rk\u00f6by<\/a>, where you can take a break at the small zoo and caf\u00e9.Back at Hotel Ullinge, a well-deserved sauna awaits and perhaps a last dip in the lake before dinner.A perfect end to a week filled with nature, culture and fabulous experiences. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 8 – Back to reality<\/summary>\n

After breakfast, pack up your things. If you\u2019ve rented a bike, return it to the hotel. We\u2019ll arrange any transfers you\u2019ve booked, and then you\u2019ll begin your journey home. <\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n
